Are we coming back ?

There is a truth that has often been stated about certain 'firsts'. Your first love is always the best- your first bicycle is always the best- your first injection of heroin is the best.....so why do something a second time if it will never match up to the first one ? That is exactly why the Cycles Heroic team is indeed coming back for another go at the Eroica California.
We have learned that the venue has been moved from the city of Paso Robles to the small hamlet of Cambria. With all of its many wineries and restaurants , Paso Robles is what we think is a much more suitable place to host this world-class casual coastal cycling event. That said , Cambria is both more coastal -being on the coast- and more casual as the town is just a fraction of the size of Paso Robles.
How will the smaller town handle the hoards of obsessive vintage bicycle enthusiasts ? It is likely that foodstuffs, lodging and drink are likely to run thin that weekend. This is precisely why we are coming, like a flight of casual coastal period-correct locusts, we will pitch in with enthusiasm to ensure that there will not be a single scrap of anything left for late arrivals , D-listers or general rear-guarders. If they want to get the goods, they will have to pedal like the sepia-toned heroes of ebay, craigslist and various online chat-forums dealing with period-correct vintage neurosis of the cycling persuasion.
If you would like to be one of the few to don the pink jersey of Team Cycles Heroic , please get in touch. The only stipulation is that you wear the jersey when you are emulating the amphetamine-charged heroes of the classic cycling era. And don't think that we are not watching.....everyone with the sacred tunic will be on the radar ( tin can with a string ) of Team Cycles Heroic. We are omni-present and likely to show up when least expected. We are also just as likely not to show up when least expected- that is the eternal mystery of the casual coastal lifestyle.
