Enrico Colostomi

One of the least known builders to come down the pipe was Enrico Colostomi. He was dedicated to his craft although he knew the money was crap. Having spent years working in larger frame building shops he was doing what he felt was his passion- frame building truly was his bag. When he opened his own shop there were people who claimed that he didn't know shit about bicycles but it didn't take long before even the loudest nay-sayers became his regular customers. A perfectionist, he was not known to fudge even the smallest details on each of his frames. He made two models , the 'Stronzo' and the 'Miseria'.

Later in his career the economy took a major dump and left Colostomi financially up shit creek. He had a tough time offloading frames and the stagnant inventory became in effect a huge log jam....He was really tempted to flush his whole business down the shitter. Fortunately , things started flowing again and he was able to pass the difficult time. He used to say "Getting through the economic downturn was a tremendous load off my mind." While he kept building until his untimely death , he never forgot where he came from , who his true friends were and most of all, the pungent smells of the Colostomi shop.
